Naruephol Fairtex showed his determination and fighting skills when he defeated Khunsug Patchsupapaan in the battle for Thailand's middleweight crown at Lumpinee Stadium.

Fighting at 70 kgs Naruephol had to use all his talents to get the better of Khunsug in a grueling battle that had the fans enthralled with the evenness of the contest.

The judges awarded the fight to Naruephol by just one point which was an indication of just how close the contest was.

Naruephol along with Yodsaenglai are setting the pace in the heavier weight divisions of Thailand's super competitive elite muaythai competition.

Naruephol is renowned for his strong kicks and accurate punching.
