On Saturday the 29 th of April Kanongsuk Fairtex came up against Rit K.R.S gym in the main event on the live Channel 5 T.V. fight show. This fight looked to be an explosive encounter on paper, with both fighters renowned for their devastating punching power. The fight itself didn't let anyone down with both fighters opening up with vicious, power shots from the bell. Rit looked to have a good advantage over Kanongsuk height wise, but the young Fairtex fighter kept a tight defense and soaked up all Rit had to offer.

In round 2 Kanongsuk started to open up more and started to work Rit's legs with lowkicks. As is often the case when two hard hitters meet, the final result doesn't come down to who has the harder punch, but who has the better defence or who makes the first mistake. Kanongsuk did a good job of absorbing the attacks of Rit, but Rit himself looked a little open at times and Kanongsuk tok full advantage of this. Midway through round 2 Kanongsuk threw a perfectly timed, fast, uppercut that caught Rit flush on the jaw, the punched dropped Rit like a stone to the canvas where was counted out by the Referee. Kanonsuk winning in devasting style in the battle of the two hard hitting, rising stars.
