There had been some concern that the top Fairtex fighter was off the boil, but he showed all the right stuff to dominate with skill and unstinting authority to beat his opponent who was three pounds heavier.
Keo fought at 127 pounds and showed again his versatility of being able to go up and down in the featherweight divisions.
In the first round Keo chased his opponent giving notice that he did not want to contest go the full distance. Early in the second young Keo connected with a straight hard left punch that had Keona on the canvass for the full count.
The win gave Keo his shot at the WBC MUAYTHAI world super featherweight title contest at Can Cun, Mexico on 28 January 2006.
The contest will be part of the WBC “Night of Champions” card which will feature both boxing and muaythai championships on the same card.
